Manual Handling Training entails the training of staff in areas of lifting techniques and the dangers with manual handling within the work area.
The areas that we cover include:
The legal requirements that staff are trained with regards to The Health and Safety at Work Order (NI) 1978 Under Section 2 – The duty to ensure so far as reasonable practicable, the health and safety welfare of its’ employees.
The Manual Handling Operations Regulations 1992 enforce that staff are aware of the risks in their workplace and also trained effectively to operate safely as far as reasonably practicable.
The four areas under the legislation: The load, The Task, The Individual and The Work Environment.
Manual Handling equipment and operations within the work equipment.
In addition to the training above, we will provide a certificate to candidates and individual risk assessments to include the four areas to be regarded under the legislation.
